The woman was caught on camera picking up a stone from the ground and throwing it against the rear window of city councilor Giulia Argiroffi’s car. The last damage occurred on May 28th. The two women had passed each other in the car. The woman was going against traffic to avoid paying the ZTL in a small street in the center.
The city councilor had reprimanded her for the maneuver which could have also put students leaving the school at risk. The car was parked in via Padre Giorgio Guzzetta in the via Roma area.
When the city councilor returned she found her with broken glass and three slashed tires. From the video surveillance images you can see the woman taking a stone and throwing it at the car, breaking the glass. The Digos agents of the Palermo police station identified and reported the woman from Palermo, the author of threats and damage.
The victim of the attack had scolded the woman several times, reporting the commission of traffic offenses and inappropriate attitudes which, in addition to violating the rules of the Highway Code, could have put the safety of pedestrians at risk.
On the occasion of yet another meeting between the two women, following an altercation, generated by one’s intolerance of the other’s calls for greater civic sense, the author of the infringements considered that the measure was full and seriously threatened the other woman with retaliation.
The threats, not so covertly addressed to the victim’s car, would have materialized, a short time after the altercation, in the damage to the rear window of the car, completely shattered by the throwing of a stone.
This conclusion was reached by the Digos police officers of the Palermo Police Headquarters, to whom the citizen had turned after having noticed what had happened to her car.
