Social services, spending is growing in Basilicata: the data

In 2021, Municipalities’ spending on i social and socio-educational services was 10.3 billion euros, of which 1.2 billion reimbursed by the National Health Service (NHS) and 745 million by the contributions paid by users.

The largest share (equal to 50.5%) is intended for services aimed at families and minors and for “interventions and services” category such as, for example, services for family mediation, adoption and fostering of minors, recreational and cultural activities, school socio-educational support.

Almost 40% of the total disbursement of the Basilicata Municipalities comes from the regional funds restricted for social policies.
