WALNUTS – The Milan Club Palagiano has the upper hand onAssociation of Friends of Marco Materazzi For 6-2 and won the first edition of the 7-a-side football “Clubs League”.

Last June 16th at the sports center “Dribbling” the finals of the Clubs League took place, an important event organized by the Milan Club Noci Rossonera, in the person of Federico Goffredo, who brought together the sports clubs of Noci and neighboring towns for a 7-a-side football tournament in order to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation-ETS. The tournament began last May 10th and saw six clubs compete in a championship format: the Milan Club Noci Rossonera, the Milan Club Monopoli, the Milan Club Mottola, the Milan Club Palagiano, JOFC Passione Bianconera Noci and the Friends of Marco Materazzi Association. At the end of hard-fought matches in the name of friendship and sportsmanship, the two semi-finals pitted Milan Club Palagiano and Milan Club Monopoli in the first and Milan Club Mottola against the Associazione Amici di Marco Materazzi in the second. In the final act, the Milan Club Palagiano and the Friends of Marco Materazzi Association challenged each other with the Rossoneri club team managing to win with a clear 6-2. Third place for Milan Club Mottola, Milan Club Monopoli down from the podium. During the evening she also intervened Daniela Doati, representative of the association for Research on Cystic Fibrosis of Walnuts, who underlined the importance of contributing to research for this multi-organ pathology which mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems, causing the production of thick mucus which obstructs the respiratory tract and the pancreas and explained the behaviors to be implemented towards people who suffer from it. The mayor was also present Francesco Intini who greeted the numerous people who followed the event and the participating teams. At the end of the evening, awards were given and the symbolic presentation of a check worth €1000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation-ETS.
