CHIETI. Avezzano pounces on Cosimo Forgione. The Chieti midfielder and captain is the Marsicans’ first target to strengthen the midfield.
The stalemate in the Teatro home, with the club stuck between the failure to pay the back wages to the team just under a month before the registration deadline and the sporting director puzzle, is leading several black-green players to look elsewhere and evaluate the market demands. One of these is Forgione, among Chieti’s best with 6 goals in 32 games last season. Massimo Taibi’s Pistoiese is also on the former Pineto midfielder, but Forgione lives with his family in Roseto and would like to stay in Abruzzo. This is why, with the neroverdi at a standstill and waiting for signals from owner Ettore Serra which are not arriving, Forgione is taking into consideration the proposal from Avezzano, who yesterday re-embraced the historic secretary Piero Puglielli. Chieti also risks losing playmaker Luca Mercuri, who Ostiamare likes. Teramo, however, is interested in winger Stefano Salvatore, who has returned to Folgore Delfino Curi after a year on loan at Chieti (6 goals in 26 appearances). Salvatore, born in 2003, is an old passion of the red and white sporting director Paolo D’Ercole who is trying to bring him to Teramo. There is also Tuttocuoio on the player, but the Devil remains the most probable solution.
In Notaresco everything is done for the change of name of the company. The writing San Nicolò disappears, only Notaresco Calcio 1924 remains. President Luigi Di Battista has formalized everything with the notary and now only the ratification by the Lnd is awaited. «Since I became president two years ago, I have always wanted to make this name change», says Di Battista, «to ensure that the community of Notaresco and the Notaresco fans felt closer to the team. It was even nicer to give them this gift on the occasion of the centenary and it would be fantastic to celebrate with the record number of season tickets for the next championship.” On the market, the full-back Manfredo Pietrantonio, wanted by Roma City and Ostiamare, is welcome.
