The Calabria d’amare project was presented at Rende, born from the collaboration between Crocieriamo and MSC Crociere

The made in Calabria cruise will take place from 4 to 11 October.

The indisputable charm of a cruise and the equally intriguing charm of Calabria and its products represent a perfect mix that will unfold from 4 to 11 October in a cruise that will depart from Civitavecchia and reach the Greek islands. This is the Calabria d’amore project, created by Croceriamo and MSC, which will bring cuisine, products, craftsmanship and entertainment made in Calabria inside the ship.

The project, which will take Calabria around the Mediterranean on board the MSC Divina, was presented in Rende in the presence, among others, of the administrator of Croceriamo, Francesco Volpentesta, of the Sales Manager of MSC Crociere, Francesco Madeo, of Gianfranco Cimbalo, communication manager of Calabria d’amare, Cecè Barretta, who will perform on board, chef Enzo Barbieri, who will be the protagonist of some show cooking on the ship, and the regional councilor for agriculture Gianluca Gallo.

For the first time, therefore, a cruise ship will be dedicated to Calabria. A great showcase for the products and, consequently, for the territory, but also a unique experience for passengers, who will find themselves immersed in the traditions, flavours, linguistic minorities and typical customs of Calabria. There will therefore be no shortage of tastings of local gastronomic specialties, with products such as ‘nduja, typical cheeses, wines and Calabrian bitters, but also the display of handicraft products and, above all, traditional Arbereshe costumes. All without forgetting the music.

The cruise, as mentioned, will depart from Civitavecchia on October 4th and will arrive in Santorini, Mykonos, Izmir to return to Civitavecchia on October 11th.
