Damiano Trebisonda and Carlo Filippelli remain in prison, Francesca Cervello is released
CORIGLIANO-ROSANO – 2 kilos and two hundred and seventeen grams of pure cocaine – with an illegal value of around 250 thousand euros – stolen from the Corigliano ‘ndrangheta.
The result is important for the police of the territorial department of Corigliano-Rossano directed by lieutenant colonel Marco Filippi, and, in particular, for the investigators under the operational section led by captain Alessandro Lorenzini who risked his life in the delicate anti-drug operation on Monday afternoon, because, for his luckily, he was not hit by the Audi Q3 driven by one of the 3 arrested, the 46-year-old known criminal from Corigliano Damiano Trebisonda (pictured above).

Is exactly Trebizond the main suspect:
he acted as “guard” and “relay” for the transport of drugs carried out with a Mercedes Class B from one of “his” manthe 36 year old with no criminal record from Corigliano Carlo Filippellithan in the car (not owned by her, but by a woman belonging to a family of criminals convicted of mafia association aimed at drug trafficking) era together with your partnerthe 27-year-old from Corigliano and also without a criminal record Francesca Cervello.
The latter, this morning, in the women’s section of the Castrovillari prison, assisted and defended by the lawyer Francesca Casciaro, was the only one to answer the questions of the deputy prosecutor Francesca Stefanelli and the judge for preliminary investigations of the Castrovillari Court Biagio Politano, during the guarantee interviews.
Filippelli’s partner stated that he was not aware of the reason for the trip outside Corigliano-Rossanoand the circumstance is confirmed by the spontaneous declarations made by Filippelli himself.
On this, the investigating judge Politano considered them credible, and, while validating Cervello’s arrest, ordered the his immediate release from prison.
So they remain only Filippelli and Trebizond are in prisonwho availed themselves of the right not to respond regarding the bulk loaded with drugsto the supply channelto the 4 thousand and sixty euros in cash that Trebizond had in his pocketwhich were seized as i two blocks of “coke” contained in a backpack carried in the bonnet of the Mercedes driven by Filippelliand to his final destination of the drug consignment.
This last aspect, however, is known to the police:
there flash investigation which led to the blitz in fact, it is resulting from very precise information received by them from one «trustworthy confidential source».
It’s one unnamed personThat he revealed to the Carabinieri investigators that Trebizond was organizing that transport and that he himself with his Audi Q3 would act as a “guard” and “relay” for “his” men. Whose identity and whose car he was not aware of the “source”, who however he knew exactly the date and time of the transport – around lunch time when the presence of law enforcement along the streets is “milder” – as well as the final destination:
the historic center of Corigliano.
The existence of such a “precise” confidential confidant would suggest that it is a member of the same ‘Ndrangheta organization from Corigliano which holds the absolute monopoly on drug trafficking and dealing in the area. A potential new collaborator of justice or “repentant” if you prefer, who with a “tip” of this kind would have been well “accredited” in terms of credibility.
However, the declared «trustworthy confidential source» it could also be a ploy investigative to “cover” the operation that led to the three red-handed arrests, perhaps carried out as part of more important investigations which in support could conceal telephone and environmental wiretapping activities and much more.
The defenders of Trebisonda – the lawyers Franco Oranges and Mario Elmo – and of Filippelli – the lawyer Antonio Pucci – will in all likelihood appeal to the Court of Review of Catanzaro on behalf of their clients, against the application order of the precautionary measure in prison ordered today against them by the investigating judge Politano.
