It was officially inaugurated this afternoon, Wednesday 19 June, in the presence of the mayor of Mede Giorgio Guardamagna, Elena Lucchini, Councilor for Family, Social Solidarity, Disability and Equal Opportunities of the Lombardy Region, the local authorities, the bank’s top management and above all many customers, the new Mede (Pavia) branch of Banco BPM in v.le I Maggio, 22. After the fire that made the historic C.so Italia branch unusable in 2022, the bank had provisionally prepared , a mobile branch which for a period allowed Medese customers to benefit from the main banking services. Now, the renovated spaces in v.le I Maggio, reopened a few weeks ago, ensure customers a fully operational agency capable of providing all branch banking and consultancy services.

Presenting the honors to the guests, together with the director Giulio Ielapi and colleagues from the Mede branch, were the manager of the Parma-Piacenza-Pavia Area Caterina Di Lella, the manager of the Territorial Directorate Lodi, Southern Lombardy and Liguria, Antonio Luca Sallustio. Among the same authorities, the principal of the primary school, Daniele Stefano Bonomi, participated in the event. The inauguration of the branch, in fact, was the opportunity to make public the intervention decided by Banco BPM in favor of the “A. Massazza” and the primary school of Mede: a contribution of 4 thousand euros intended for the humanistic music therapy project which will involve 110 children, to accompany their psychomotor development, elementary verbal language as well as encouraging the integration of children with relational difficulties.
