Cinema, summer arenas Livorno: 2024 film programming

The summer has now begun and even the open-air cinemas are ready to welcome their first customers. For those wishing to spend an evening different from the others, there are numerous screenings offered by Arena Ardenza, La Meta, Fabbricotti and Cinema La Pineta Castiglioncello starting from the second half of this month of June. Or, at least, this will be the case for the first two: the season at the Arena Ardenza will in fact start tomorrow, Friday 21 June, with Riccardo Milani’s film “Un mondo a parte” starring Antonio Albanese, while that of La Meta will start the following week, Friday 28 June, with the screening of Paolo Virzì’s latest film, “Another Ferragosto” on the giant screen set up at the Aldo Montano rugby field.

The programming and therefore the opening of the Fabbricotti Arena is late compared to previous years, just as the Cinema La Pineta – Castiglioncello is currently closed for major renovation works which will not be completed before the end of the month. Among this year’s confirmations is the fact that all the arenas are adhering to the ‘Cinema Revolution’ initiative of the Ministry of Culture, i.e. the promotion valid from last June 9th until next September 19th which will allow the viewing of all films Italians and Europeans at a cost of 3.5 euros, while for other screenings the ticket price will be established by each individual operator.
