The outgoing president of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, newly elected to the European Parliament, and other leading figures from the regional institutional panorama, visiting Teca. On the afternoon of Wednesday 19 June, Bonaccini stopped at the Cesena Fair together with Enzo Lattuca (mayor of Cesena), Alessandro Ricci (president of Criad – Center for Research and Studies for Computer Science Applied to Teaching) and Gabriele Raimondi (president of the Order of Psychologists of Emilia Romagna) to discover the details of the project conceived and implemented by the social cooperative Generazioni. A project which, by exploiting the potential of the virtual world, aims to socialize young people and combat the risks of isolation they face in an increasingly digital society.

“Digital is now a consolidated presence in our daily lives and while demonizing it would make no sense, it is instead useful to encourage the new generations in particular to use it consciously – states Bonaccini -. Therefore, congratulations to Generations and its partners for an initiative that goes precisely in this direction. As the Emilia-Romagna Region we are also proud to host the Leonardo supercomputer at the Bologna Tecnopolo, one of the most powerful in the world, the flagship of a technological district which will host the 14th headquarters of the UN University, research centers and offices of the most important hi-tech companies in the world. We did it because the jobs that our children and grandchildren will do today largely do not exist, but will depend on the level of digital and technological development of the area in which they live. And experiences like Teca help us position ourselves 100 meters ahead of the others.”

After the ribbon cutting last May 23rd, the space dedicated to young and old hosted various classes from the areas of Bologna, Forlì and Cesena. And now, with the closure of schools, it is preparing to welcome families, self-organised groups and summer camps. “Our activities continue unabated, the appointments with the schools have been a success – underlines Stefano Rambelli, president of Generazioni -. We are very honored that Bonaccini came to visit us despite his many commitments, we really appreciate his curiosity. We gave him a taste of ‘experience’ to allow him to better understand the scope of the project and the potential for its users. In this regard, I would like to remind you that, while waiting for the website to be put online at the beginning of July, anyone wishing to obtain information on Teca can do so via the social profiles of Instagram and Facebook (Teca creative space), the dedicated telephone number +39.3804314753 or by writing to ’email address [email protected]”.
