Corigliano-Rossano. Students create drawings for the global “Colors for Peace” exhibition

by Cristian Fiorentino – It was inaugurated last June 16th at the Pucciniano museum in Celle di Pescaglia (Lucca) the international exhibition of drawings on Giacomo Puccini “Colors for Peace”. “Colors for Peace” projects under the high patronage of the European Parliament, the Tuscany region and the Tuscany regional student parliament. Event organized and organized by the “Lucchesi nel Mondo” association and the municipality of Pescaglia and which saw at the vernissage of the exhibition on Puccini the protagonists of the drawings from the schools of Corigliano-Rossano (for Italy)Damascus (Syria), Ulcini (Montenegro), Pristina (Kosovo), Irapuato (Mexico), Sat Sugatag (Romania), Guayaquil (Ecuador).

The opening of the ceremony and cutting of the ribbon fell to the president of the Tuscan student parliament Sofia Canovaro, Francesco Maiorano for the Municipality of Pescaglia and the vice president of the “Lucchesi nel Mondo” association Giovanni Lepri. Celebrations harmonized with Puccini arias performed by Caterina Ferri and Dino Mancino. «A great honor – said the “Colors for Peace” Calabria ambassador Adriana Grispo – for the world of school and for the city of Corigliano Rossano. Being protagonists, thanks to the international association Colors for Peace, with the coordination of our Calabria office, of this important cultural event, fills us with enthusiasm. The “Don Bosco” Comprehensive Institute, directed by my colleague Laura Sisca, with the referring teacher Rosaria Aiello, is the protagonist of this first appointment in the Puccini places.
