COSENZA In recent days, personnel of the flying squad of the local police headquarters, directed by the police commissioner of the Province of Cosenza Giuseppe Cannizzaro, arrested a 22-year-old young man, with specific precedents, for the crime referred to in art. 73 Presidential Decree 309/1990. A phone call made to the single emergency number reported, in an area notorious for drug dealing, a person armed with a large knife, wandering around the streets of the neighborhood, threatening anyone he met on the street. The officers promptly intercepted the subject without the reported knife, already known to these offices, who went into a rage at the sight of the operators, railing against the police. During this phase, a medicalized 118 unit previously alerted by the residents of the neighborhood arrived on site. The young man, in a clear state of psychophysical alteration, was transported to the local hospital for specialist advice. A house search was carried out, where a block of hashish-type narcotic substance, weighing approximately 70 grams, a precision scale and material suitable for packaging was found in the house. For the facts set out above, the man was arrested in flagrante delicto for possession of a narcotic substance for the purpose of dealing and, upon order of the public prosecutor on duty, subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest awaiting trial. Following the hearing to validate the arrest, he was subjected to the obligation to report to the police.
