He attacked the officers of a patrol car with a knife and a pair of shears but was immobilized after the use of the taser by the police. This is what happened in Crotone. The man, a 44-year-old from Crotone, was arrested for resisting and violence against a public official, personal injury, threats and illegal possession of weapons. The officers intervened after a call on the emergency number 112 from a man who reported that his brother, in a strong state of agitation, was ransacking their apartment and was threatening to kill him and his mother with a knife. Once on site, the police, after having tracked down the man and his mother hidden in a car several meters away from the house, saw the reported subject near the front door. The latter, upon seeing the officers, lashed out at them, brandishing a hedge shear and holding a large kitchen knife in his right hand. The man attempted to hit the officers several times, one of whom suffered a trauma to his wrist, so the policemen used the taser and managed to block and disarm him. Taken to hospital for tests, tests revealed the use of narcotic substances and a high blood alcohol level. After the checks he was arrested and taken to the prison, available to the Crotone Prosecutor’s Office.
