Serie B2, Ceriano’s road to promotion passes through Pavia

Promotion play-off time for the Ceriano Tennis Club. After the excellent group stage which saw them gain second position in group 5 with 11 points, behind only Sporting Club Saronno, CTC will now have to contend with Tennis Club Pavia to win a place in the 2025 Serie B1 championship .

The Pavia team also made a great progress in their group (the third), taking home the beauty of five victories and only one knockout, the one against the leaders JC Next Gen. The road to promotion for the boys led by Eugenio Ferrarini passes therefore from this double comparison: the first round is scheduled for next Sunday, June 23rd, on the fields of the Robur Center in Saronno while the return leg is scheduled for Sunday 30th June in Pavia.

“Like all play-offs it will be a complex challenge, we have learned this in recent years also with the women’s Serie A2. The first leg match at home will be fundamental in trying to gain an advantage on our fast courts in view of the return leg which will be played on outdoor red clay. Captain Ferrarini has great experience and the team is very compact. We have our chances and, as always, we will have to give our best”, comments the technical director of the CTC, Silverio Basilico. The time for verdicts is approaching and this double confrontation does not foresee an appeal. The road to promotion is clear.
