Parking in the courtyard of the former Colonia di Bellariva serving section 6 of the Parco del Mare. 61 parking spaces and 244 spaces for mopeds are planned
Green light from the municipal council for the technical-economic feasibility project for the new car park in the area surrounding the former Murri colony. While the works concerning section 6 of the Parco del Mare (between Piazzale Gondar and Viale Siracusa) are being completed, the project is progressing in parallel which will lead to the creation of a new parking space, intended to improve accessibility and the use of the entire sector.
The intervention involves the use of part of the courtyard area of the former Bellariva colony for the creation of a car park capable of hosting 61 car spaces and 244 spaces for mopeds for a total of 305 parking spaces available to citizens and visitors. The area, currently at the disposal of the bankruptcy trustee of the former colony, is the subject of a rental contract signed by the Municipality, for use as a car park limited to the summer period while awaiting the start of a redevelopment project of the area of the Murri colony.
The intervention will be carried out ensuring implementation that respects the surrounding environment, therefore non-invasive and by adopting eco-sustainable choices, both with respect to the materials and technologies used in the construction, and for the placement of parking spaces which will take into account the presence of several maritime pines and appropriate agronomic measures. The intervention must in any case guarantee compliance with the constraints of landscape protection that exist in the areas pertaining to the colony.
Once the design process has been completed, the works will be able to begin which will allow the new rest area to be made available for the start of July.
