Free courses for administrators: Anci Umbria welcomes almost 100 members from over 30 municipalities

Anci Umbria has launched a series of free courses for administrators. This initiative has already attracted the attention of almost a hundred people, representing over 30 municipalities. The main objective of these courses is to provide participants with theoretical reflections and practical tools that can be used to support their daily administrative activities.

The first of five free training sessions is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, at the Council Hall of the Province of Perugia. Professor Valter Canafoglia will lead the discussion on “The status and role of the local administrator, tools for addressing complex challenges.” This meeting will focus on the Administration and administrators, exploring the legal status of city councilors and assessors, their rights and duties, skills and responsibilities.

The course calendar was presented on Friday 28 June in the Falcone Borsellino room of the Province of Perugia building. Michele Toniaccini, president of Anci Umbria and mayor of Deruta, Silvio Ranieri, general secretary of Anci Umbria, and teachers Valter Canafoglia, Alessandro Formica and Lorella Capezzali were present.

Michele Toniaccini underlined the importance of this initiative, stating that it is an opportunity to get to know the new administrators and mayors before their approach to the administrative path. He also highlighted the high quality of the contents of the courses, which will allow to address important issues and themes from a regulatory and functional point of view.

Silvio Ranieri illustrated the five events, emphasizing that the goal is to respond to the needs of those who have decided to undertake the adventure of administering their own city. He expressed his satisfaction for the fact that almost 100 people have already signed up for the courses and added that it is still possible to join.

The subsequent courses, the dates of which are yet to be established, will always last 3 hours and will have the task of going into a little more detail of the regulatory context and municipal planning tools. The topics will include the regulatory context and municipal planning tools, the introduction to the legislation regarding Pnrr, the municipal civil protection planning tool to support local administrators and the demographic services, state functions attributed to municipalities according to the principle of subsidiarity.

The initiative was conceived by Anci Umbria in consideration of the fact that the recent local elections involved 60 Umbrian municipalities. The objective is to provide theoretical reflections and practical tools to be used to support daily administrative activities.
