TREVISO – The Benetton Group meetingmet yesterday, June 18, hthe 2023 budget was approved and has appointed Directors of society Christian Coco – with the role of president – Andrea Pezzangora and Claudio Sforza.
The Company’s Board of Directors, meeting immediately afterwards, made the appointment Claudio Sforza CEO of Benetton Group, giving him executive powers in place of Massimo Renon who had left the company after a “consensual agreement” made official last June 5th. Graduated in Economics at the Sapienza University of Rome, an expert in public administration, Sforza has a past working in the Post Office and Ansaldi. The shareholders’ meeting conferred executive powers on Sforza.
In the new board of directors the Benetton Group shareholders then appointed as president Christian Coco, former investment director of the Edizione holding company. In 2002 Coco worked at Mediobanca in the Acquisition Finance department. Between 2007 and 2011 he had various experiences at private equity companies focused in particular on infrastructure investments in Europe. Until joining the Edizione Group in 2015, he was responsible for the Planning, Control and M&A area of the De Benedetti family’s CIR Group. The tThe third board member appointed today by the shareholders’ meeting is Andrea Pezzangorageneral counsel of Edizione in Benetton since 2002.
