Today Vallanzasca arrived at a hearing before the Surveillance judges, because his reward permits to attend a community, where he went at least once a week, were recently revoked. The defense has lodged a complaint against the measure, which is being discussed today. After the hearing on the complaint, the judges (Di Rosa and Caffarina) will decide in the next few days whether or not to accept the defense appeal and allow Vallanzasca to attend an external institution with premium permits.
He also arrived to follow the hearing before the Supervisory Court a “voluntary entrepreneur”, a sort of “guardian angel who always lends him a hand”, explained the lawyers. If he is granted the bonus permits again, among other things, he could go to the structure identified by the lawyers a few times a week, and then move there if the request for home detention is accepted. “He needs to interact”, reiterated the lawyers of the 74-year-old, who has the so-called “never end of sentence”. The defense consultants, psychologists and neurologists (Zago, Preti and Sciacco), speak of a “deficit cognitive and behavioral framework”of an “irreversible neurodegenerative process”.
In May last year, at the request of the lawyers, the Milan Surveillance Court had once again granted the bonus permits to attend the therapeutic community, which had been revoked a few months earlier. Then, in March the new stop came from the judge. At the end of May 2023, the defenders’ request for a deferred sentence, with home detention, was also rejected.
