“I brought my seeds of peace to Ischia” – Il Golfo 24

After the efforts of the Storiae cultural marathon which involved expert professionals and scholars of the various subjects of the episodes covered in conferences and targeted visits to the places of history in the discovery, knowledge and learning, the doctor and scholar Alessandra Vuoso is once again in the chair alongside another example of organizational and socio-cultural efficiency, the President Caterina Mazzella promoted the art event at the Torre del Molino with the Fidapa and Aiparc associations. The welcomed and revered guest was the painter from Pistoia Rossella Baldecchi for whom an exhibition of her works was organized in the premises of the former district prison of Ischia, inaugurated on an evening elevated to a prestigious meeting with the artist who was also enthusiastic about the location and our island.

When last year, the painter/artist from Pistoia Rossella Baldecchi came on holiday to Ischia, she felt a strong emotion in visiting the Tower of the ancient mill on the Mandra beach, and to her friend Caterina Mazzella she expressed the desire to be able to exhibit the his paintings in that location with ancient charm, facing the sea and the Aragonese Castle. After a year, thanks to the profitable synergy between Associations and Institutions, it was possible to create not only the wonderful exhibition entitled “Sprouts of Peace” but a magical “associative alchemy” which saw the CT AIParC Ischia as protagonists – President Caterina Mazzella – the Fidapa Ischia Section – President Lina Tufano, today on the occasion of the event represented by the Vice President Mariangela Calise Mary Angel and, representing the Mayor of Ischia, the Deputy Mayor lawyer. Ida De Maio and the Councilor for Tourism Luigi Di Vaia The presence of the President of the Isolaverde Rotary Club Danilo Borso’ was appreciated: the artist, in fact, in addition to being a member of Fidapa Pistoia (twinned with the Ischia Section since 2006) is a member of the Pistoia Rotary. The vernissage was introduced by Dr. Alessandra Vuoso Ale Vù, Head of Culture Comm. CT Aiparc, who richly presented the works,…” generated by the emotional intelligence of the Author and her urgency for dialogue on the compelling issue of Human Rights, among which the first and most important is represented by the Right to Peace…” And, still on the subject of associative and Friendly networks, a group of Fidapa Sez members participated in the vernissage. Teramo with the President Narcisa de Vincentiis (thanks to the VPN Anna Maria Elvira Musacchio for reporting us) and the President Carmela Bovienzo and members of the newly reconstituted San Tammaro Section visiting the Madrina Section of Ischia. A great success! Undoubtedly the beauty of Rossella Baldecchi’s significant works literally emotionally involved the many visitors! To visit! The exhibition will remain open until June 30th from 6pm to 10pm (free admission).

The organizers of the event followed the welcome with a critical speech commenting on the artistic talent of the Pistoia painter entrusted to the acumen and preparation of the doctor Alessandra Vuoso, Head of Culture Comm. CT Aiparc. Alessandra Vuoso began thus: “Every nation and every human being, regardless of considerations of race, conscience, language or sex, has the inherent right to live in peace” (article 1 of UN resolution 33/73 of 1978) – Rossella Baldecchi’s works, wrote Dr. Vuoso, are generated by the author’s profound emotional intelligence and her urgency for dialogue on the compelling issue of human rights, among which the first and most important is represented by the right to Peace. Peace between peoples and individuals, Peace with Mother Nature, as the Author declares: «The many and too many wars that are fought, some unjustly forgotten, and those close to us, in Ukraine and in the Middle East, have touched my heart, as well as the health of our Planet, of which, instead of being precious guardians, we are often passive observers of global decay.” The series of paintings proposed in this exhibition, many of which are unpublished works, represents women and girls with small animals and elements of the plant world. The measured composition and the delicate representation of pure and disarming subjects encourage reflection on current issues by intricately intertwining elements of femininity, nature and social issues. The synergy between women and animals in these paintings symbolizes a harmonious coexistence between humans and the natural world, communicating a message of unity, empathy and interconnection. Through their thoughtful composition and evocative imagery, these works stimulate contemplation on pressing contemporary issues such as environmental and biodiversity conservation, gender equality, and social justice. Juxtaposing the gentle strength of female figures with the innocence of animals, these paintings serve as visual narratives that invite viewers to reflect on their role in promoting peace, compassion and understanding in an increasingly complex world by stimulating deep reflection on our collective responsibility to fight for peace amidst rampant discord. And amidst the chaos of contemporary events, these works serve as a stark reminder of the fragility of our existence and the urgent need for change. In this often dramatic global landscape one thing remains certain: the power of art to reflect our deepest hopes with extraordinary clarity.”
