Lamezia. Success for the first edition of Games Without Neighborhood

Parco Peppino Impastato crowded with enthusiasts of all ages for the first edition of “Games without neighbourhood”, promoted by the “Sport Walking” association directed by Romina Perri in collaboration with the “Malgrado Tutto” cooperative.

An afternoon of sport and friendship, which revived the genuine taste of the traditional “games without borders” of the 70s by bringing together different generations and enhancing the central element of human relationships, in a historical phase in which even the dimension of the game it is brought back to the virtual without any direct contact between people.

From tug of war to sack racing, many games and activities, with an organizational machine directed by Romina Perri supported by maestro Lino Piricò and Alfredo Latelli, by Linda Mazza for the “Malgrado Tutto” cooperative, musical animation and entertainment at edited by Luigi Talarico.

Several teams competed in a passionate and fun competition, with the support of the Avas association, of the “Prima gli altri” solidarity clinic with the presence of the doctor Vincenzo Cimellaro and the involvement of various entrepreneurial activities from Lamezia.

“A successful experiment”, according to Sport Walking president Romina Perri who underlines “the enthusiasm with which the proposal was welcomed not only by older people who experienced firsthand the historical phase in which those games were one of the main pastimes , but also by the younger ones and children who participated with their families.

An event made possible thanks to the Sport Walking group which, in addition to the weekly training activity, supports me on every occasion and with which the organizational machine is already in motion for the second edition of “Ready, set… off to Lamezia” in program in October”
