A sudden mourning has struck the school community of the Monte Bianco primary school in Arezzo. The trustee of the school, as well as a teacher who had just finished the year with one of her firsts, fell ill and died while she was in a seaside resort. This is the 59 year old teacher Vincenza Terrigni, known to all as teacher Enza.

The news soon reached Arezzo and threw not only her family members into despair, but also all her colleagues, managers and parents of the children she had had in class until less than two weeks ago, and who had to find a way to communicate in the most correct way possible that their reference figure was no longer there.

The passing of teacher Enza leaves an unbridgeable void, so great was the passion, creativity and dedication she had for the school, her boys and girls. A sign soon appeared outside the primary school: “Have a good trip, teacher Enza, you will always be in our hearts”.

“She was for an open and inclusive school. For her every boy and girl was important. She took care of everyone and left no one behind. She was the teacher of the whole of Mont Blanc” they say with strong emotion from the school. “Thanks to her, the girls and boys had a better school” they add.

Vincenza Terrigni’s body returned to Arezzo yesterday and is on display at the Misericordia. Her funeral will be held on Thursday 20th at 10.30 am at the Pieve. The donations collected in memory of Enza will be donated to the Romanian Community in Pratovecchio.

The sincere condolences of the writer and the entire Arezzo Notizie editorial team go to her husband, her daughter and all those who loved her.
