The noisy walk “Riprendiamoci il Piazzone“, organized by the “The center of Viareggio“ Committee, will be held this evening, scheduled to start from late afternoon, in the streets of the centre, the “heart of the city”, to ask the administration for greater attention , protection and safety against the degradation of the area and inviting all citizens to participate.
And if other associations have distanced themselves from the event, it is instead the Natural Shopping Center of the Passeggiata that announces that, among the participants, one of its delegations will also be present, since “despite there being no apparently direct involvement of the commercial activities of the Passeggiata in the process since here of the unstoppable degradation of the Piazza Cavour market, there is no doubt that it represents an open wound for the whole city and its entire economic and social fabric”, states the president of the Ccn Alessandro Fontana, specifying the attention, solidarity, oriented towards the inhabitants and workers of the historic centre.
“For this reason – continues Fontana -, not only do we intend to express total solidarity with the traders and residents of the city centre, but we will participate with one of our delegations in the event with the aim of expressing a closeness that is not only moral, but also physical to the our colleagues and to those who live in that area”. “The Piazzone – concludes the president of the Ccn della Passeggiata – is a symbol of Viareggio and deserves to return to its ancient splendor, in the interest of the whole city”.
