The great passion for triathlon shared in the family has enabled the feat: Cristiana Bulgarelli she earned the title of Carpi’s IronMan mother by competing in Austria in Klagenfurt on Sunday 16 June. Her race was wonderful. She faced 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.195 km of running, i.e. the distance of the marathon, recording a final time that she never would have thought, 12:44:00.
It was his secret dream, “madness”, realized thanks to the support of Alex Bertoncelli, “the other half of my sky”. United by their passion for triathlon, Alex and Cristiana have organized their life over the last few months around training to face this tough, difficult race, especially ‘in the head’ but, Cristiana comments, “I arrived with a smile, not exhausted”.
Cristiana’s thanks also go to Gagaan ‘unmatched’ coach who has prepared tables designed to perfection.
In the journey that Cristiana shared with the people closest to her, her son could not be missing Federico, “my pest and my greatest pride. Instead of going out with friends, you follow me in these endless days, for those who don’t directly participate in the races. Throughout the entire journey I was counting down the kilometers that separated me from you, because there is no supplement that can compare to your screams and cheering.”
