The regional phase of the CONI Trophy speaks seventh: a victory worth the ticket to Sicily

Another weekend of top athletics for around fifteen players from the youth sector of Atletica Settimese, committed to Alexandria for the Regional Youth Tetrathlon Multiple Trials Championships and in Beinasco for the second day of the FIDAL Turin Cadet Provincial Championships.

In Alessandria, as anticipated, the regional phase of the CONI Trophy will take place, which qualifies the winners for the national phase scheduled for autumn, an event in which Atletica Settimese has a great tradition having already dictated the law in the past in the national field with Alessia Succo. Three tetrathlons were scheduled and four athletes from the boys category participated with excellent results.

Above all, the triumph of Marco Pantaleo in the “B” tetrathlon (60 metres-long-vortex-march) which asserted the regional title in the 60 meters by winning the test unchallenged in 7″8, and then closing the long jump with a leap at 4.38 metres, obtaining placing second in the vortex throw over 45 meters and placing ninth in the walk. A total of 2044 points were won by Marco, with over 300 points ahead of the second place and qualification obtained for the national phase which will be held in October in Catania, Sicily.

Good performance in tetrathlon A for Samuele Cignoloauthor of a good performance in the high jump, and of Giacomo Aiassa in tetrathlon C; shame, however, about the small injury suffered by Nicola Covino.

Also on Saturday, a day full of technical results and provincial titles for the Cadettes at the FIDAL Turin Championships in Beinasco, where the 8 white and blue athletes competing won three titles out of the five up for grabs showing off excellent performances. Absolute protagonist, needless to say, Alessia Succo who won two provincial titles, first in the 80 meters hurdles with a time of 10″93 and shortly afterwards also winning the 300m hurdles with a time of 40″57, followed by her teammates Agnese Milelli And Francesca Ferro, second and third respectively with excellent times of 41″28 and 43″52. Personal best for both to complete a historic white and blue podium which attests to the dominance in the Atletica Settimese speed races.

The icing on the cake was the third provincial title of the day won in the middle distance, this time in the 1200 steeplechase, by Elisa Fissore, who won the race with a stubborn conduct and with a new personal time of 4’11”, a few seconds from the minimum for the Italian Championships. Always in the 300 meters good debuts in the race Carlotta Casalinowho wins his heat, and of Alessia Fissore. Good eighth place in the 80 hurdles for Priscilla Nana Aduwho then asserts herself in the long jump like her partner Rebecca Rognone.
