Viterbo – We receive and publish – “For the second consecutive year the European Market organized in via Marconi and at the Sacrario with over forty operators represented an important opportunity to bring many people to the centre, with a success in attendance which consolidated the numbers of last year year when 45 thousand visitors were registered. It was a positive experience from every point of view, but it’s unfortunate that the opposition wanted to highlight marginal aspects to create an instrumental and useless controversy.” This is how the city councilor responsible for relations with businesses Marco Nunzi comments on the four-day international event, organized by Anva and Confesercenti, in which many traders representing 18 countries around the world took part.

“Last year’s intuition proved to be spot on and certainly represents an example to follow in the future too – comments Nunzi –. The effort of this administration is to support the greatest possible number of events capable of restoring vitality to the historic center and the European market has demonstrated that it is moving in this direction.”
“However, we have read criticisms advanced by Fratelli d’Italia aimed at some rather irrelevant issues such as the fact that there was a smell of fried food or that there was competition with the city’s commercial activities. We have not received any complaints from economic operators but rather appreciation; certainly there are aspects to improve, as always, but we cannot accept an interpretation of the facts that completely distorts reality” concludes Nunzi.
