The Assembly of Federconsumatori Emilia-Romagna unanimously elected Fabrizio Ghidini as president of Federconsumatori Emilia-Romagna today, Tuesday 18 June. Ghidini, 57 years old, takes the reins of the association from Renza Barani. Present at the assembly were Michele Carrus, national president of Federconsumatori and Massimo Bussandri, general secretary of Cgil Emilia-Romagna, who together with the assembly gave a long round of applause to the outgoing president. President of Federconsumatori Parma since 2014, Fabrizio Ghidini had previously been a member of the CGIL Parma secretariat. He was already vice president of Federconsumatori Emilia-Romagna and is currently national vice president of Federconsumatori with responsibility for energy and the environment.
“It will be a mandate that I will carry forward in continuity with those who preceded me – declares the new president addressing his thanks to the previous president Barani – Among my objectives is to strengthen the growth process of Federconsumatori ER. On a political level, I intend to continue to invest in the dialogue with the Region with which we have reached important agreements on energy, environment, transport and to work together with other consumer associations to strengthen the ability to protect citizens, in a difficult phase in which the rights are being eroded while family income is slowing down, and worrying pockets of poverty are growing.”
