“This is a story that begins almost 10 years ago – Mayor Falcomatà recalled – and saw us act side by side with the 1995 Roma cooperative. The administration has made precise political choices which today, through two lines of financing under the Pon Metro programme, and with the “Reggio Resiliente” tender, allow to open a structure which, naturally, has multiple meanings: the first, without a doubt, is to create a true and concrete circular and solidarity economy, allowing us to reduce the costs of transferring undifferentiated materials to landfill”.
The other is a symbolic meaning: “We are proud of the idea that, with little, we can achieve a lot, that broken things are not thrown away, but fixed. It is a hymn to hope, to the possibility of a new beginning and, above all, it shows us that if things can go out of fashion, there is one thing that never goes out of fashion: style.” “In this case – concluded Giuseppe Falcomatà – it is worth underlining the style of the Roma ’95 cooperative which transformed assistance into work, giving dignity to many people. He did it with resistance, resilience, transparency and legality.”
