The third edition of Summer School XR&AI eXtended Reality and Artificial Intelligence will also take place this year at the House of Emerging Technologies in Matera.

The work will begin Tuesday 18 June and will continue until Friday 21with a full program of speeches by important national and international experts on topics related toExtended Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

The Summer School, in fact, has an international significance with speakers coming from the Universities of Utrecht (Holland), Prague (Czech Republic), Milan Polytechnic, INRIA (French National Institute for Computer Science and Applied Mathematics), MIAT (Multiverse Institute for Arts and Technology), and companies such as NVIDIA, Amazon and AWS.

The The program is punctuated, between morning and afternoon, by a number of 10 lectures held by highly professional academic and industrial researchers.

The lessons will be in English and will involve approx twenty-five participants, mostly doctoral students and researchers, coming from Italian and European universities.

The scientific Committee of this third edition is composed of:

  • Ugo Erra (University of Basilicata, Potenza),
  • Nicola Masini (CNR-ISPC, Potenza),
  • Pasquale Arpaia (University of Naples Federico II, Naples),
  • Raffaele Vitulli (Creative Basilicata Cluster, Matera),
  • Primo Zingaretti (Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona).

The local committee is composed by:

  • Carola Gatto – University of Salento, Lecce,
  • Gabriele Gilio – University of Basilicata, Potenza,
  • Silke Miss – XRtechnology srl, Lecce,
  • Gilda Manfredi – University of Basilicata, Potenza.

The third edition of the Summer School dedicated to Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence will explore its four days the interaction between these emerging technologies and their impact on the future.

The Summer School will focus on several key areas:

  • industrial and commercial applications,
  • innovations in training and education,
  • development of immersive experiences for the public and in robotics.

Industry experts will share their knowledge through presentations, offering participants the opportunity to deepen their skills and discover new horizons.

The aim is to provide a complete and in-depth overview of how Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence are transforming various sectors and what the future challenges and opportunities could be.

The Summer School is open to professionals, researchers and students interested in better understanding these technologies and exploring their potential.
