Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on the Catanzaro market with Vandeputte in Palermo’s sights.
It was a start to the week still with many names on the line for Catanzaro, ready to put together the puzzle by inserting the last two most important pieces for the management of the association which wants to face the second consecutive season in Serie B without suffering, despite the shocks that last week they revolutionized a structure that had been tested for years.

Also last weekend Floriano Noto, president of Catanzaro, acted personally, but from now on he also has the comfort of the new general manager Paolo Morganti, at the headquarters since yesterday on his first day of actual work which will see him far behind the desk, dealing little with field situations. The choice made by the sporting director will also give clues to the coach’s next option. It is difficult to understand whether there will be continuity with the ideas put forward, admirably, in recent seasons by Mr. Vivarini. In this case the main suspect to occupy the Giallorossi bench would be Alberto Aquilani, while in the case in which discontinuity was desired a hypothesis would lead to Massimo Brambilla, Juventus coach Ng or Stefano Vecchi (Vicenza).
ROSE TO BE REFOUNDED. With a cycle practically closed (Vivarini), the feeling is that few will remain compared to the squads of recent seasons. In any case, we will talk about it again in a few days, or when the Giallorossi have more defined technical ideas shared by the various management figures. The best assistant in Serie B, the Belgian Jari Vandeputte (28), scorer of 9 goals, followed by Cagliari and Palermo, together with the goalkeeper Andrea Fulignati (29) who could land at Cremonese and the central defender Brazilian Matias Antonini (26). But these are chapters to be addressed with whoever Catanzaro is preparing to choose (sporting director and coach). With the fans buzzing, the club wants to do it quickly and well.
