The CSS Genoai.e. the Silent Sports Club officially affiliated with Genoa, won the National Championship for the deaf for the fifth time beating ASD Milano 4-1 in the final. Affiliated to the oldest Club in Italy since June 2023, CSS Genova, which is approaching one hundred years since its birth, is a sports club which over the years has achieved great successes, not only in football.
For example, the victory of the women’s football championship three years ago, this year the third place in the Italian women’s championship. And again the victory in 2001 in the water polo world championship beating Croatia in New York, in the alpine skiing championship, badminton, table football, bowling and sport fishing.
Returning to the football aspects, CSS Genoa participated in the Champions League last year, challenging teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, AEK Athens, Feyenord, Paris SG, Braga, Monaco 1860 and Standard Liège. This year the President Marco Richitogether with the sports director David Rossi and to the mister Grippohave created a competitive team made up of young players, but also some professional players who play in Serie B or Serie C in their countries of residence. A team capable of winning their fifth championshipas can be seen from the team photo with the hand indicating a “five”.
