Final move of the Tuesday city market to Viale Diaz

The Municipal Administration of Sansepolcro announces that, following the experimental day last Tuesday 11 June, the definitive decision to move the city market has been made.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 18 June, the city market will therefore be held regularly in Viale Diaz.

The experimentation provided positive feedback from both street traders and citizens, highlighting the logistical and organizational advantages offered by the new location. Viale Diaz, with its greater width and accessibility, proved to be a more suitable area to host the stalls, all in a single space, improving the shopping experience and allowing for more effective management of the flow of visitors.

The shaded area allows you to shop in peace, even on days of high temperatures. The area is close to the city center and in this way market users also have a direct outlet onto Corso XX Settembre to be able to shop at the shops in the historic centre.

“The success of the experimental day convinced us that Viale Diaz is the right choice for our weekly market,” declared councilor Francesca Mercati.

“This choice was made because the area in question has all the necessary requirements for holding a market, from electricity and water connections to the favorable logistical position for customers to reach the area.

From the moment the construction sites in Viale Vittorio Veneto are finished, it will also be easier for everyone to find parking. Meanwhile, we also inform you that the “Campagna Amica” market will be moved from its current location in Porta Tunisi to Piazza Gramsci and Piazza Santa Marta.

The Campagna Amica market, we remember, takes place every Thursday. By doing so, there will be a logistical improvement of both markets which have different but equally important needs.”

The Municipal Administration invites all citizens to participate and enjoy the numerous products and opportunities offered by our traders.
