VICENZA – Salvi Garden: work continues: walkway reopened

The urban regeneration intervention involving the Salvi Garden is progressing, financed with 400 thousand euros from the European NextGeneratioEU fund as part of the Pnrr (Mission M5C2I2.1 Cup: B37H21002770001).

The councilor for public works Cristiano Spiller took stock of the situation this morning during an inspection with the Superintendence, the company and the project’s designers.

«The walkway that allows you to cross the park from Piazzale del Mutilato to the Corso Santi Felice e Fortunato exit was reopened today. It will then take a few weeks to make the entire garden accessible to citizens again, while keeping some construction sites active for the completion of the final interventions”, announces the councilor Spiller.

«In recent days the works are focusing on the conservative recovery of the Loggia Longhena which also affects the particularly damaged roof – continues the councilor Spiller -. Work is also underway on the entrance door in Viale Roma and technical assessments are underway on the static restoration of the pillars that line the sidewalk in Corso Santi Felice and Fortunato, which suffered damage and collapse during the days of the Alpini Gathering. Inside the park we are proceeding with the cleaning of the statues and subsequently the fence along the Seriola canal will be replaced. The strengthening of the lighting system is also underway with the increase in light points to enhance the monuments present. The work on the driveways was completed at the beginning of May, before the meeting.”
