On Monday 24 June, in the Tapestry Room of the Municipality of Verona, the 42nd Rally Due Valli, fourth round of the 2024 Sparco Italian Rally Championship also valid for the 4 Zone Rally Cup. The event, organized by the Automobile Club Verona in collaboration with ACI Verona Sportwill take place for the first time in the summer, from Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th June.

The event returns to the Sparco Absolute Italian Rally Championship, the highest Italian title. It will also be valid for the 4 Zone Rally Cup. TO present the event the President of the Automobile Club Verona was present Adriano Basothe director Richard Cuomothe President of ACI Gest Srl and former Race Director Alberto Mario Riva. The conference was hosted at Palazzo Barbieri Italo SandriniCouncilor for the Third Sector, Productive Activities and Commerce, Relations with the territory of the Municipality of Verona.

The 42nd Rally Due Valli this year will only be characterized by rally for modern cars and, for the first time, it will allow everyoneeven to CRZ competitors, to compete on the exact same courseeffectively generating asingle classification. This is an opportunity that allows you to come close to the 120 participating cars, suggesting a great show.

This year’s Due Valli will unfold on a journey of more 106 timed kilometers, with two stages, special stages and a timed section of almost 26 kilometres. «Certainly a challenging stretch for the riders 117 participating crews. For citizens, however, there is a double opportunity to see machines and crews directly in Piazza Bra” states thecouncilor Italo Sandrini. Thursday 27th June

On Thursday 27 June the official pre-event tests in Grezzanain the downhill stretch between Loc. Busoni di Rosaro and the capital of Valpante.

Friday 28 June

The engines of the 42nd Rally Due Valli will be turned on on Friday 28 June. From 7.30am there will be free tests and the qualifications on the “Postuman – Aleph” between Castagné and Mezzane they will bring the new format of the championship to Verona.

THE first fifteen drivers classified of qualifying, in fact, they will be able to select their starting position for Saturday’s stage. This selection will take place in one ceremony which will take place at 2.30pm on Friday at theACI Sport hospitality truck in the service park.

The paddock it will then be set up at Re Teodorico car park in Veronafiere and right here the real race will start on Friday at 3pm. The first Passage through Piazza Bra will take place at 3.15pmwhere the competitors will begin the competitive part of the event. There are three special tests that the drivers will have to face.

PS1 “San Mauro di Saline – Verona Serramenti SBN”, almost 13 kilometres, is one of the most anticipated due to its very technical layout: narrow road and some highly spectacular passages. Around 5pm, PS2 to “Postuman – Up Rent” again between Castagné and Mezzane live on TV, then at 8.30pm at night second passage to San Mauro di Saline.

Saturday 29 June

Saturday it will start at 8 am in Veronafiere with first aid. The cars they will then go up to Valsquaranto for the first passage on “Moruri – Banca Valsabbina” scheduled for approximately 9.20am. There the test starts from Pian di Castagnérises to Caio and then travels a stretch of the SP35 up to the crossroads for Morurithen descending again to the last section, where it returns to the Postuman stretch.

At Around 10.15am will begin “Bolca – Tomasi Auto”the try queen that touches the 26 kilometers. Since 1989, no tests over 25 kilometers have been seen at Due Valli and this will be the most selective.
