Prato, 17 June 2024 – The Ladies 60 of Tc Prato win the Italian championship of the team championship in the category. At the Scandicci coach where the women’s Final four Ladies 60 was held, Tc Prato won the championship in the category. The team composed of Francesca Ciardi, Giovanna Tortorella and Giulia Collodel beat Tennis Roma on the first day, then Olimpica Tennis and in the final match the Piedmontese team of Edoardo Agnelli Torino. The Prato team thus repeats last year’s championship and confirms that it is the strongest team in Italy.
“We are a very united team who have been playing together for many years – explain the protagonists – it was very nice to have so many friends and family present at the final party. It was double satisfaction”. President Marco Romagnoli congratulates the protagonists of this result “Once again our Ladies demonstrate that they are a dream team by overcoming their opponents and bringing another championship to our club – explains Romagnoli – after displaying the Davis Cup salad bowl , having organized a quality international Under 18 tournament for our club also comes the affirmation at Italian level with our ladies who will now be protagonists at European and world level. We will celebrate them with a nice party while waiting for the championship to start in October of the female A2 series”.

Satisfaction also at youth level? “It was a fantastic week for our under 11 boys Gherardo Lai and Lisa Palombo who represented Tuscany in the “Belardinelli Cup” played in Castel di Sangro – continues Tc Prato sporting director Franco Mazzoni – they return from this experience with the second place as a team and first in the Belardinelli Doubles Cup. The work done by our school and the synergy with the Horizon team is producing the expected results and for this reason we want to continue on this path as a protagonist at both senior and junior level.”
