The plans of the students of the SCD Alma Juventus Fano were disrupted by the cancellation of the Bonifica Salinello time trial and the Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata road race, which should have taken place on Friday and Sunday in the Teramo area. This change of program forced the boys of DS Filippo Beltrami and Samuele Mancinelli to sit out the competition, while it only partially penalized the orange-lobster rookies of DS Gabriele Gorini. The latter, registered for both of the aforementioned events reserved for their category, managed to compete anyway, diverting towards Tuscany. In fact, they participated in the 75th edition of the Six Martyrs Cup – Gino Bartoli Memorial, held in Ponte a Ema (FI) with the arrival set in front of the museum dedicated to the unforgettable champion.
There where nothing less than the first stage of the Tour de France 2024 will start on June 29th, the Fano team performed admirably, allowing Simone Ringhini to conquer the second step of the podium among the 1st Years, finishing behind the Venetian Pietro Foffano . Riccardo Agostini also responded to the call from coach Stefano Vitellozzi to wear the shirt of the Marche representative team in Sabbio Chiese (BS), unfortunately stopped by a puncture a few kilometers from the finish line when he was in the group of the top 20.
Instead, the Giovanissimi of DS Giovanni Ambrosini returned to racing after two weekends of rest, but riding their bikes with fat tires to take part in the Young Race MTB in Fermignano (PU) with companies from all over the Region. Federico Lepretti opened the dance with the round reserved for promotional events, for the SCD Alma Juventus Fano to then record the fourth place of Federico Guarini and the tenth of Diego Roscini among the G1, the ninth of Mattia Cassiani among the G2 and the second of Marco Ringhini among the G4. For the children it was a new, fun and educational experience.
