The evocative evening signed by was successful Antares Legnano to discover all the secrets of the Moon, the Earth’s satellite. A special and well-attended lesson held in front of the Basilica San Magno in Legnano which was appreciated by the many Legnano residents present. During the event “The Moon in the Square”, held in recent days in Piazza San Magno, an image of the Moon was projected on a large screen, allowing those present to admire its details up close. Furthermore, astronomical observations were carried out with telescopes made available by the observatory, giving participants the opportunity to explore the night sky under the guidance of experts.
The initiative organized by Antares with the Astronomical Observatory of Legnano and sponsored by the city of Legnano, is part of the celebrations for the Centenary of Legnano City. And for many it was an opportunity to get closer to astronomy and discover the wonders of the starry sky. The evening was also a moment of sharing and socialization for the local community, who was able to enjoy an educational and fascinating experience. «One of the rare and beautiful things we have in Legnano? An astronomical observatory and an association that has managed it for decades – states the mayor Lorenzo Radicand who participated in the evening -.
