He got away with a bad bump, but he risked much worse, a 12-year-old who last Saturday, June 15, was hit on the head by a road sign pole on the Pertini seafront, in Pozzuoli, in the province of Naples: the iron pipe broke and fell on the very young man, who was walking with some peers. The affected part swelled and started bleeding, as can be seen from the photographs released by the parents. Rescued by some passers-by, the boy was accompanied by ambulance to the Santa Maria delle Grazie in Pozzuoli for the necessary investigations.

The Municipal Police of Pozzuoli intervened at the site of the accident and carried out the investigations; investigations are underway to ascertain the causes that led to the breaking of the pole, it is not excluded that the base, now ruined by time, may have broken due to the weight of the road sign. The 12-year-old underwent a CT scan, which gave a negative result, and was discharged shortly afterwards; the check-ups revealed a head injury and the doctors recommended that his family keep him under observation and return to the emergency room if he showed any illness or symptoms attributable to the blow he suffered.
