New headquarters for the students of medicine and Surgery who attend the degree course a Treviso. Thanks to the synergy between the Veneto Region, Ulss 2 and the University of Padua, Monday 17 June the new training center from over was inaugurated at the Fair 300 seats.
This is the third center used for the training of future doctors in the city, which comes into operation in addition to the classrooms made available by the Order of Doctors and Caritas Tarvisina; awaiting the creation of the Citadel university campus which should be ready by the end of 2025.
«The new headquarters, comfortable and cutting-edge, was designed with the aim of offering students an ideal environment for inclusive and innovative teaching» began the general director of Ulss 2 Francesco Benazzi, welcoming the rector of the University of Padua Daniela Mapellito the president of Veneto Luca Zaia and to around a hundred students who took part in the ribbon cutting.
«In Veneto 3,500 doctors are missing» recalled President Zaia « we worked hard to open this new headquarters, we challenged the bureaucracy, we ended up in front of the Court of Auditors because someone considered the financing for this new headquarters illegitimate. Being here today to inaugurate it is a beautiful sign of civility for everyone.” In greeting the future doctors, Rector Mapelli wanted to wish them “a path made of discoveries, satisfaction and awareness of the value of commitment and one’s role”.
