Fiumicino, the airport now uses AI and WhatsApp to communicate

There are two innovative digital services launched by Aeroporti di Roma in Fiumicino, included in the platform Digiport to receive, thanks to Whatsappreal-time updates on the status of our flights and view, with the help of AI, boarding operations at the gate.

The first service allows us to monitor the status of flights in real time and to have detailed information on all the services provided at Fiumicino airport through a QR codes to be framed reproduced in the lower section of the flight info monitors, which opens access to a chat dedicated to your flight.

The second is a service of smart boardingcurrently active at the gates E11-E24 of the boarding area non-Schengenalways accessible via QR code which, through a system of microcameras coordinated by artificial intelligence, manages to collect and process data on operations in real time boarding, allowing us to view live streaming of the progress of your flight with detailed updates on the percentage of completion of the process. Passengers can thus choose by monitoring boarding times from their phone when to get in line.

The new applications, developed thanks to collaboration with Airport Ai and ZestIotI’m in phase experimentalbut almost already thousand passengers per day they are taking advantage of it.
