The Title delivered to the Mayor of Mugnano del Cardinale –

The management of the local football team USG Carotenuto has resigned in full, handing the title of the club into the hands of the mayor, Dr. Alessandro Napolitano. The decision, announced by the club’s top management, is motivated by the lack of the necessary conditions to start a new championship, aggravated by the growing detachment of the citizens and Mugnanese from the team in recent years.

In a joint statement, board members expressed their regret at reaching this decision, underlining how community support is crucial to the success and survival of a local football club. “Without the support of our citizens, it is impossible to move forward. In recent years we have observed a significant decline in public interest and participation, which has made running the company unsustainable,” the resigners said.

Mayor Alessandro Napolitano, upon receiving the club’s title, expressed concern about the situation and promised to explore all possible solutions to keep Cardinale’s Mugnano football tradition alive. “Football is an important part of our community and we will do everything we can to find a solution that can bring back excitement and support around the team,” Napolitano said.

The news of the resignation sparked a widespread reaction among local citizens and fans, who are now looking anxiously to the future of their team. The mayor invited all interested parties to collaborate and discuss ideas to relaunch USG Carotenuto, hoping that a shared path can be found to bring the team back to its former glory.

In the meantime, the company’s activities are suspended pending further developments and decisions from local authorities and potential new backers.
