the times and works for the Il Tirreno stadium

CARRARA. These are days of stasis for Carrarese. Nothing will move on the market front until July 1st, the opening date of the summer session. For now, Piazza Vittorio Veneto’s maximum efforts are aimed at quickly resolving the stadium problem. As already widely announced in recent weeks, Carrarese will play the first official matches of the new season at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa, starting with the match in the Italian Cup against Catania on Sunday 4 August.

Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Carrara, the priority objective at the moment is to make the Stadio dei Marmi compliant with the minimum requirements in order to host the Serie B matches. The first works to be carried out will concern the replacement of the pitch, the installation of new entrance turnstiles and adaptation of the lighting system, as well as a whole series of other works that the Apuan club will define in collaboration with the Municipality. The aim is to complete all the necessary works by the end of September, if possible even earlier. Furthermore, to better face the challenge of Serie B, Piazza Vittorio Veneto will try to strengthen its corporate staff with new targeted additions.

The staff

There should be no news, however, in the technical staff of the first team, entrusted once again to the hands of Antonio Calabro, architect of the historic promotion to Serie B, immediately confirmed by the club. These days the coach is enjoying a well-deserved vacation in his Puglia, ready to take the reins of Carrarese with the summer retreat, scheduled in Pontremoli around July 13. At the moment, in Serie B there are only three clubs that have not yet chosen the coach for the next championship.

The Serie B coaches

Among these, Pisa is ready to make Pippo Inzaghi official. Vincenzo Vivarini should sit on the Frosinone bench, close to a resolution with Catanzaro, who will hire one of Marco Zaffaroni or Alberto Aquilani. The table of the Serie B benches: Bari-Moreno Longo (new); Brescia-Rolando Maran (confirmed); Carrarese-Antonio Calabro (confirmed); Catanzaro – Marco Zaffaroni, Alberto Aquilani and Eugenio Corini in the running; Cesena-Michele Mignani (new); Cittadella-Edoardo Gorini (confirmed); Cosenza-Massimiliano Alvini (new); Cremonese-Giovanni Stroppa (confirmed); Frosinone – Vincenzo Vivarini and Paolo Bianco in the running; Juve Stabia-Guido Pagliuca (confirmed); Mantua-Davide Possanzini (confirmed); Modena-Pierpaolo Bisoli (confirmed); Palermo-Alessio Dionisi (new); Pisa – Filippo Inzaghi is ready (ex-Italian sporting director Davide Vaira); Reggiana-William Viali (new); Salernitana-Andrea Sottil (new); Sampdoria-Andrea Pirlo (confirmed); Sassuolo-Fabio Grosso (new); Spezia-Luca D’Angelo (confirmed); Sudtirol-Federico Valente (confirmed).
