L’AQUILA – Next July 25th it will take place at Radici in Via Leosini 6, right in the historic center of L’Aquila, the Aquicorto Short Film Festivalcreated and promoted by Abbo Production, a production company active throughout the national territory, led by Angelo Sateriale and Gianni Labalestra.
There are two sections in which filmmakers over 18 can participate: national and Abruzzo. The theme of the short films is free and the event aims to support Abruzzo and national talents who want to try their hand at cinematographic art, expressing their skills and knowledge through the short film form.
The deadline for the presentation of short films is peremptorily set no later than 05.07.2024. The titles of the selected works will be published on the website www.abboproduction.it by 07.13.2024.
The prizes will be: best Italian short, best Abruzzo short, audience prize and critics’ prize from the Festival’s media partner Cabiria Magazine (www.cabiriamagazine.it).
Radio 102 (www.radio102.it), Radioarte (www.radioarte.it), Alchemist – Strumenti Musicali (www.alchemist.it) for the technical part and the Belgian platform Indie Clips (www.indie- clips.com) which promotes short films and independent filmmakers.

The day of July 25th will be very intense and totally free upon membership.
From 11.00 to 13.00 there will be a film writing workshop held by Angelo Sateriale and from 15.00 to 17.00 some out-of-competition shorts produced by Abbo Production will be screened inside the Radici space, followed by performances. At 7.30pm there will be an aperitif and then at 9pm the evening will begin with outdoor screenings inside the Radici courtyard with debates, guests and a final award ceremony for the short films in competition.
