A week around Palermo among the alleys, the squares and the walls of the Barbera stadium tunnel to return to his works. The street artist Salvatore Benintendein art Tvboy, has decided to restore, with color touches, some of his most emblematic works in the city. And not only. Among the first works to be restored is that of Saint Rosaliacreated in 2020 in Piazza Giovanni Meli, a few steps from the Vucciria: a tribute to the patron saint of Palermo in a pop version, which instead of the sacred heart has the Palermo Calcio shield, with the usual pink black colors and the eagle. The same stencil was reproduced by Tvboy in the stadium tunnel Renzo Barbera and since 2022 that image has greeted the team just before they enter the field. “Every bond needs care,” writes the artist who returns to refresh the works he created as a “love pact.”

Tvboy also stopped by the mural it depicts Peppino Impastato, with the words “Educate on beauty!” above it, in front of the CGIL headquarters, in via Giovanni Meli. And then again in via Lungarini to recolor the judge’s drawing Paolo Borsellinostencils, even those faded by time and also the subject of vandalism. A few steps away, there is the portrait of the judge Giovanni Falcone, which appeared on May 23, 2022 with the caption “It’s time to move on!”. Tvboy also visited the municipality of Hadrian’s Palacewhere the large mural homage to was taken Giuseppe Tornatore with the two cult characters of “New cinema paradise”Totò and Alfredo. “As a child, your film moved me and inspired me to dream,” says Tvboy. “This mural is my way of thanking you for the profound impact you have had on my life.”
