AmiCorti IFF returns for the sixth edition – Cuneocronaca.it

WEDGE NEWS – The sixth edition of the AmiCorti IFF international film festival begins on Monday 24 June at the foot of Bisalta, in Piedmont, and will end on Saturday 29 June with the awarding of the Golden Strawberry, the prize for international cinema.

This year, the festival promises to be particularly interesting, not only for the films in competition and out of competition, but also because at the awards ceremony the Golden Strawberry Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded to the Iranian actress Fatemeh Simin Motamed Arya (in the picture), who will preside over the international jury. Simin Motamed Arya, named “Mental Health Ambassador” by the Iranian Scientific Association of Psychiatrists and UNESCO Chair of Health Education in 2020, is an activist and supporter of several charities in Iran. You have embraced AmiCorti’s mission of contributing to film culture by giving voice to social issues.

In addition to the 26 nominated cinematographic works, this edition will present 44 short films from all over the world. The international jury, made up of nine illustrious experts in the film industry, actresses, actors, directors and producers, will enrich this edition with their presence and surprises. The festival uses the “Magic Mirror of Social Cinema” to explore important social issues. “Whether you are a filmmaker, a film enthusiast or simply someone who wants to interact with the world in a meaningful way, AmiCorti IFF’s Magic Mirror of Social Cinema is a valuable resource that can help you do just that. Our advocacy association social non-profit is proud to present the platform to the public from 24 to 28 June Friends, reaching the armchairs of their home. And then we’ll wait for you on June 29th to appreciate the two world premieres of “The shot of nature” and “All’impresa”, two short films produced by our association, giving you an immensity of emotions”.
