The engines are warming up for an event that has now entered the hearts of many. Large Calabrian companies and realities, the proactive approach to communication and the starred dinner with the identifying products of our table. An informal and lively talk, sofas overlooking the sea of ​​the Strait and the Calabria that is told. This is the summary of “Calabryando”, the event on the most beautiful Calabria now in its third edition. An exceptional location, once again, is the “Spiper” to Reggio Calabria, recently included in the “Guide to the best beach clubs in Italy”. The date? Tuesday 25 June, from 6.30pm.

The event includes a four-handed dinner between chef Marco Maltese and chef Christian Balzo of the Michelin Star restaurant “Piano 35” in Turin and this year too it is organized in collaboration with Velier, a leading company in the distribution of “drink quality”.
The flavors of our products, the excellent examples of the territory, the need to partially rewrite the narrative of our land, the spotlight of local and national communication, therefore entrepreneurs, producers, journalists and digital creators, all this at the “Piro Piro” in Reggio Calabria to talk about the more than evident growth, food and wine and beyond, of a land like Calabria.

Who are the chosen interlocutors in this edition? The figs of Belmonte with Dino Colavolpe; the rice from the Piana di Sibari with Magisa, acronym of the young sisters Maria, Giusi and Sara; the Mammola stockfish from Alagna & Spanò; the poor bean of Mormanno with Teresa Maradei; “Bob Alchimia a Spicchi” with Roberto and Anna excited for the next “Bob Fest”; the Catasta del Pollino, an example to follow, with Giovanni Gagliardi as representative; Emilio Leo of the historic Soveria Mannelli wool mill, an ancient textile factory.
And then, again, Giacomo Triglia, a native of Reggio and director of the video clips for Jovanotti, Levante, Dolce and Gabbana, just to name a few; Noemi Evoli for the Aspromonte national park, Noemi Guzzo for the Sila national park and Simona Lo Bianco director of Fai for the Giants of Sila, extraordinary women of our woods. And to make sure we don’t miss anything, the newly awarded ice cream from Reggio Calabria with “Cesare” and Davide De Stefano; the wonderful terracottas of Gerocarne with Vitaliano Papillo telling them and the sauce at the “Corte d’Assise” of the Cascina di Roccella Jonica as an example of a product that becomes an identity.

“The desire is also to promote synergistic, positive and proactive communication of Calabria which can loudly express its opinion as a land of great excellence. And we will do it by listening and telling the experiences of the guests present”, say the organizers. In the first two editions, the watchwords were “positivity”, “contamination”, “opportunity”, “inclusion”. And now?
In short, reasoning out loud on a stage above the water where the words will be followed by dishes from a surprising menu expertly combined with cocktails from the Piro Piro bartenders. Side note, places for dinner are limited.

A unique event, where there will be no shortage of surprises! The director Domenico Bellantonio and the impeccable Laura Saraceno who professionally lead one of the most beautiful beaches on the most beautiful seafront in Italy, and Giovanna Pizzi, a food and wine journalist who, for years, has tried to narrate a land full of quality, are ready to bet on it and diversity.
