From 21 to 23 June, for its 130 years, the Italian Touring Club proposes Open for You Under the Stars: extraordinary opening of the Summa House Museum in Pescara

The widespread celebration, organized on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the TCI, includes several visits to places opened specifically for this purpose. The goal is to allow everyone to know and admire small and large treasures of our country. Churches, palaces, monuments and archaeological areas will see extraordinary and evening openings to tell stories, reveal spaces not normally accessible, rediscover places and details in suggestive environments, until sunset… and waiting for the stars.

In Pescara, on the occasion of Aperti per Voi sotto le Stelle 2024, Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June the volunteers of the Italian Touring Club extraordinarily open the doors of the Summa House Museum (viale G. D’Annunzio 81), home and studio of the architect and artist from Pescara Franco Summa.

It will be possible to discover the rooms where Summa lived and worked, full of works, models and sketches of creations with the clear and vibrant colors typical of Summa Ars which promotes “collective experiences of sharing social values, relationships between men, urban space and beauty”.

The rooms are on the fourth floor and in the attic of the twentieth-century Palazzo Rosso, in the Portanuova district, in front of the Museum of the Nineteenth Century and a few steps from the Birthplace Museum of Gabriele D’Annunzio, the house of Ennio Flaiano, the Cascella Museum and the Mediamuseum – National Cinema Museum.

The Italian Touring Club thanked the Summa Foundation for its extraordinary participation in the Aperti per Voi sotto le Stelle 2024 initiative. Access is by reservation only:
