Yet another stolen car found in Aprilia… without the wheels – Il Caffe

The discovery took place on Sunday along Via Apriliana ad Aprilia, near an abandoned red building, about a kilometer after the Campoleone station, towards Aprilia. The car, a Fiat 500, had been stolen and the thieves were probably more interested in spare parts. So much so that he left it on the side of the road without wheels.

The report was immediately made to the police who, upon arriving on site, tracked down the owner and alerted him to the incident. A bitter surprise, given that the theft had not yet been reported.

This is yet another car that is found without wheels in the Aprilia area. The criminals probably know that in this area there are sufficient guarantees of “anonymity”, thanks to the vastness of the countryside and the few video surveillance cameras present.

Also a Fiat 500 was stolen at the end of May in Tor San Lorenzo, in Ardea. It was late at night. The car was found in the area of via Fossignano, in Aprilia. It had been completely burned and practically nothing remains.

The thefts at the station

In recent months the Carabinieri of Aprilia have achieved a victory in the fight against the plague of theft and damage suffered by cars parked in the large car park of the Campoleone railway station.

Commuters above all complain of constant damage or even theft of their cars, parked there to go and catch the train.

The Aprilia Carabinieri therefore decided to activate a series of observation services in the affected area. The assiduous monitoring has borne fruit.

A 28-year-old Tunisian citizen was arrested on Friday 20 January. The man was caught red-handed by the Carabinieri while he was trying to steal a car that a commuter had recently parked to go to work by taking the train towards Naples.
