Even in 2024, according to forecasts, the Municipality will get the most from the agreement stipulated with the investee Sigerico for the management of parking and parking in general. The forecast of approximately 8.5 million euros in revenues allows us to foresee the achievement of the maximum bracket among those envisaged by the agreement, with the contribution to the administration of 2.5 million euros (plus VAT).
A figure resulting from the agreement stipulated in 2021 and which, after a first year that cannot be judged due to the consequences of the pandemic and a 2022 on the edge of maximum revenues (7 million 961 thousand euros, with the passage to the Municipality of two million plus VAT), now for the second consecutive year records the maximum expected revenue for the Municipality: in 2023 the final balance exceeds 8.5 million euros, similar results are expected for 2024.
And for the future there are two hypotheses under study which should further increase the quota or in any case have a significant impact on mobility management: the revision of the access system to the limited traffic zone, intervening in particular on multiple accesses at the same time with a single permission, the comparative study with other cities – already carried out – which provides for the possibility of increasing the fare for tourist buses, now at 150 euros, with a reduction to 130 for those who book via internet. We will talk about it again at least in this second case, certainly for 2025.
However, the hypothesis of building a new car park outside the historic center is still on hold, considered a fundamental step towards reducing parking within the walls. At the moment there are no concrete hypotheses on which to proceed. Meanwhile, today the deadlines for submitting applications for the position of general director expire, held on an interim basis by president Leonardo Tafani after the breakdown of his relationship with Annaclaudia Bonifazi.
