LIVORNO. It is the piece that is still missing to compose the mosaic of the new council for Salvetti bis. It is the red-green department that the mayor, given the electoral result of the coalition, reserved for a member of the Green Alliance on the Left. There are still three names on the table 24 hours after the presentation of the government team, while for the proxies the mayor seems oriented towards that which concerns young people, innovation, start-ups, universities. In simple words, the department that will have to try to give a future in the city to today’s teenagers.
There are three profiles in the running to join the council. The first is that of Denise Bertozzi, 30 years old, the most voted on the Avs list in the local elections with 104 preferences and therefore already with a guaranteed seat on the council. Compared to the delegations on the table, the choice of the secretary of the Livorno club could be a courageous one, yes YES, but her young age and little administrative experience could be a limit. This is why the main favorites for a seat on the council are currently two. The first is Teresa Cini, principal of the Niccolini-Palli high school, who in January, in the survey carried out by BiDiMedia, was the most voted for a possible candidacy as mayor for Green Europe. The other hot name is that of Michele Magnani, in support of the Italian Left. He was there, at the aquarium in mid-May, representing the Green Alliance on the Left in the conference presenting Mayor Salvetti’s program, as the program’s contact person.
Beyond profiles and balances, there is also a question of numbers in the choice. With the exit of Barbara Bonciani and Gianfranco Simoncini with the entry of the dem secretary Federico Mirabelli, a female figure would be needed to maintain the five women and four men in the council. A question that could also be overcome by the mayor himself who will almost certainly speak with the leaders of Versi and Si today.
