He denied the charges, telling the judge that he had been the victim of a car robbery. This is what emerges from the long interrogation of Antonio Mangiacapre, a 53-year-old from San Cipriano d’Aversa arrested for the murder in Succivo of two brothers from Cesa, Marco and Claudio Marrandino.
The man reportedly reported that the shooter at the two brothers was an unknown subject who stole his car. A version which, according to what emerges, would be in conflict with the investigations. In fact, immediately after the shooting, Antonio Mangiacapre was chased by a Carabinieri patrol car which was at the Succivo exit to control the territory; the man did not stop and was reached with considerable difficulty by the Carabinieri, who then stopped him and took him to the Pineta Grande hospital in Castel Volturno, where he was also subjected to the STUB examination for the search for gunpowder.
The Marrandino family is defended by the lawyer Luigi Poziello of the Bar of Naples North, who is asking for the truth about what happened. He rejects any theory linked to organized crime or to Marco’s practice of the profession of lawyer, having found no confirmation in the first investigative documents. “Marco was an exceptional person, an esteemed professional in the Aversa Court, appreciated by everyone for the courtesy and smile he had towards everyone. Next Saturday he would have turned 40 and had to celebrate the event with his twin brother, Michele; instead we will find ourselves going to the funeral; Claudio is a cheerful boy, an upright worker despite his young age, who works thousands of kilometers away from his hometown.” Marco leaves behind his wife Rosa (former lawyer, now a teacher) and their 2 children, Antonia, 6 years old, and Francesco, 4 years old; Claudio was engaged and lived with Federica, a girl from Carinaro.
