Farmaè Viareggio finished the Euro Winners Cup in ninth place. The Bianconeri won the match against Rostocker Robben 4-2 in the final which offered the best possible placing after the elimination in the round of 16. On the sand of Nazaré (Portugal) Gori takes center stage by scoring a hat-trick. Remedi scored the other goal for the Corosiniti team, who will now begin preparing for the Italian Cup, scheduled for 27 to 30 June in Messina.

From the first minutes Gori proved to be the most dangerous player among the Bianconeri: in the 3rd minute he missed the target with a bicycle kick, in the 5th minute he saw his free throw blocked by Jose Carlos. At the third attempt, however, “Tin-Tin” made no mistake, beating the German goalkeeper with a precise left-footed shot taking advantage of Genovali’s recovery and assist. Gianni Santini deflects the right foot aimed at Knuppel’s intersection. In the 11th minute Rostocker Robben equalized with Jose Carlos’ long-range shot.
At the start of the central half, Zè Lucas hits the post with his left foot following an assist from Ozu. Korner tries twice in a minute for the Germans (the first attempt goes wide, the second is blocked by Manfredi). In the 6th minute VBS regained the lead with Remedi’s sharp right-footed shot to the near post and in the 8th minute they extended their lead again with Gori, who scored with an overhead kick. The Germans didn’t give up and in the 10th minute they closed the gap with Marmor’s dirty but effective long-range shot. Who in the 12th minute scared the Bianconeri with a right-footed shot providentially blocked by Genovali. Shortly afterwards Manfredi closes the door on Korner’s hit and Thurk’s subsequent tap-in.
In the third half VBS gets back to a safe distance with a new acrobatics by Gori, who scores his personal hat-trick, taking himself to 8 in this Euro Winners Cup and to 375 in black and white. In the 6th minute it was Ozu who performed a spectacular overhead kick that hit the crossbar. Fazzini isn’t any luckier, hitting the post with his left foot in the 10th minute.
